Critical Incident Analysis Technique (CIAT) is a qualitative research technique. The objective of this method is to learn all of the details about a certain incident and help the individual regarding problems. This technique, which enables the rapid collection of information, might make valuable contributions to complex researches in the field of nursing, especially to researches that plan the collocation of quantitative and qualitative methods. The objective of this article is to define the Critical Incident Analysis Techniqueand its stage, which is an effective and practical method in terms of describing the problems that are experienced in the field of application and developing the solution strategies.
